From Reels to Reality: How DD News’ “Creator’s Corner” Is Powering India’s Next Creator Generation

If you’re a content creator with big dreams and a smartphone full of ideas, this one’s for you.

India’s creator economy just hit a major milestone with the launch of “Creator’s Corner” on DD News by Prasar Bharati—and it’s more than just another show. It’s a signal that your voice matters, your stories belong on national platforms, and the future of media is being shaped by young creators like you.

Digital  Content Creator

A National Stage for Digital Creators

Launched on 9 January 2026, Creator’s Corner is a dedicated prime-time platform on DD News that showcases content created by independent digital creators from across India. From small towns to big cities, this initiative brings grassroots creativity straight to national television.

For years, young creators have built audiences on social media—often with limited resources but unlimited passion. Now, Doordarshan is opening its doors to that very energy, giving creators credibility, reach, and recognition beyond algorithms.

2026: The Year That Changes the Game

At the launch, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw made it clear:2026 will be the year of major reforms for Prasar Bharati.

These reforms aim to modernize institutions like Doordarshan and AIR by embracing:

  •  New-generation creators
  •  Industry collaboration
  •  Technology-driven processes

Creator’s Corner is the first step in this transformation—blending the trust of public broadcasting with the creativity of digital youth.

The Creator Economy Is the Future

The Minister also highlighted the impact of the WAVES platform, calling it a game changer for India’s creator economy. The vision is bold:

  • Empower 1 crore youth
  • Create massive employment opportunities
  • Generate nearly ₹5,000 crore in economic activity

This isn’t just about content—it’s about careers, livelihoods, and turning creativity into sustainable income.

PM Modi’s Vision and the Rise of the Orange Economy

Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan connected Creator’s Corner to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for the Orange Economy—an economy driven by creativity, culture, and content.

Today’s creators don’t need massive studios. With a phone, editing apps, and original ideas, young Indians are:

  •  Writing their own scripts
  •  Editing their own videos
  •  Building personal brands
  • Creating impact independently

Creator’s Corner gives these self-made creators a national and global platform, proving that talent matters more than location.

What Kind of Content Can You Create?

Creator’s Corner celebrates diversity in ideas and formats. Content can be based on:

  • News & current affairs
  • Culture, travel, and food
  • Art, literature, music, and dance
  • Health, wellness, and education
  • Science, technology, and environment
  • Inspiring stories and entertainment

Each episode features 4–6 short videos or reels, aired at 7:00 PM (Monday to Friday) on DD News, with a repeat telecast the next morning.

That’s prime-time exposure—something every creator dreams of.

Why This Matters for Young Creators

According to MIB Secretary Shri Sanjay Jaju, this initiative recognizes creators not just as performers, but as complete content makers—thinkers, storytellers, and changemakers.

Creator’s Corner will soon expand across all Doordarshan channels, creating space for multiple languages, regions, and voices. It’s about making public broadcasting youth-centric, inclusive, and relevant again.

How India’s Food Processing Boom Is Creating Big Opportunities for Youth in 2026

India is changing fast. From digital payments to electric vehicles, from startups to exports, new industries are rising every year. But one sector that is quietly becoming a major job creator and business opportunity for young Indians is food processing. Most people think agriculture ends at farming. But today, real growth begins after harvest  — when fruits become juices, tomatoes become sauces, millets become ready-to-eat snacks, fish becomes packaged export products, and dairy becomes high-value cheese products. This is where the government’s Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI)  is making a difference. The scheme is helping India build stronger food brands, bigger factories, more exports, and thousands of jobs. For young people looking for careers, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, branding, digital marketing, exports, or agribusiness, this sector is full of possibilities. What Is PLISFPI and Why Does It Matter? PLISFPI stands for Produc...

MSP on kharif crops and it's Impact on farmers

Each cropping season, India’s farmers work tirelessly in their fields – but  uncertainties in weather  and markets can wipe out their gains. Unseasonal rains, droughts, or floods can destroy months of hard work in a matter of days. Even when crops are harvested successfully,  volatile market prices  can push farmers into distress sales, forcing them to sell at rates far below the cost of production. For small and marginal farmers, who depend entirely on agriculture for their livelihood, these risks can mean spiralling debts, loss of income, and even abandonment of farming altogether. This is where the Minimum Support Price (MSP) becomes a lifeline. Minimum Support Price (MSP) is a crucial mechanism through which the government supports farmers by purchasing their crops at a pre-determined price.  MSP Policy and Determination Annually, Government announces Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for 22 mandated agricultural crops based on the recommendations of...
